Tour de Cure Update

WOW!!!!

Look at that. We still have two days to go and already we made the minimum goal of $150.

I've raised the goal to $200, just to see if we can make, maybe exceed it by Saturday evening.

Thanks to Everyone for the generous contributions.

Tour de Cure for Diabetes

Hi Everyone!

Yep, it's that time of year again. You know the time of year when I pull my bicycle out of the garage, dust it off, check for flats and rust and then decide that I can manage 30 plus miles up and down hills, all for a good cause.

This is a wonderful event that is held every year in Long Beach. The goal is to raise money for the American Diabetes Association to aide in research for a cure.

This year our route has changed. They’ve made it more challenging (translate that as a heck of a lot of hills). It should be a lot of fun. My goal this year is to complete the 20-33 mile route, that starts out at the Queen Mary and then crosses the Vincent St Thomas and Gerald Desmond bridges and eventually brings us back to the Queen Mary.

Because I am starting so late, my current goal is to raise a minimum of $150 dollars by the end of the week.

If you would like to sponsor me, please click on the thermometer over on the right of the page (in the side bar), then click the Red “click here to sponsor me” button and follow the instructions. Give as little or as much as you like. Every dollar counts.
