Tour de Cure--Thank You !!!!

Thank you to everyone for your support. It is greatly appreciated.

As you can see I did survive. We signed up for the 10mile, with an option for the 20mile route. When I saw how haphazardly they were going to pile our bikes onto the transport truck to return them to the Queen Mary Park after the 10 mile, I decided that I would continue on the 20.

No doubt about it--This Was A Challenging Ride. No one was prepared for the number of hills and bridges to be conquered, or for the railroad track that cut diagonally through the road on one of the few flat sections where we could pick up speed. Several bikers took a fall there. Everyone will know better next year.

I certainly will set aside more time to train, just in case my roommate decides, once again, to announce the weekend before the event that we will be riding. The old routes were much flatter and required minimal training. The new routes require a great deal of training. I haven't heard one person complain about the route being unchallenging. :-)

Thank you again. I hope you will all be able to contribute next year again, either monetarily or with your good wishes and encouragement. Every dollar and word helps.
