You may have noticed that I have begun to update my walking stats again. I decided that if I am going to be looking at more trips, hiking or otherwise, I really should start training again. Right now the goal isn't anything other than to be consistant. I'll work on distance, weight loss and endurance as I progress. They'll just sort of fall into place. The one thing I am worried about is how to get the elevation training. The needed incline training I can either get here or on nearby peaks in other states, but let's face it, I was born and have lived at sea level all of my life. Elevation can be a real challenge.
I'll probably add other stats as I go along. I've been thinking about that for a while now. It's a way to keep me honest and motivated.
Hmmm, I wonder if any of my hiking partners are available for a short 10 mile trek this weekend?
